Thank you for the compliment. No this image was done exactly how they are always done. The major difference is that the model is only 15 years old. Maybe that is what is throwing you off ?

Hi Chantelle,
When lighting a plain white BG it is best to use white medium sized umbrellas. I usually use two, one on each side.

My advice is to shoot what you really love. Also experiment with different kinds of photography you are interested in. It will take a couple years to find what you really love.
