Old Rustic Shack With Character
February 9th, 2009So this is one of the many shots from my recent trip to the south. This was shot in Tennessee. I love the detail in the wood and how the whole structure leans from being so old. I did adjust contrast in post and did some extra little adjustments. There are so many abandonded homes and shacks all over the south. I find it fascinating that at one time this was a shack or actually it looks like a tool shed that someone took the time to build with their own two hands and used it. They walked in and out of it getting whatever necessary tools they needed to attend to their farm. There is a soul that permeates around these places. Like someone just up and walked away but their sould lingers.

I live in Louisiana and there is those little shacks all over. At times I will think that it is abandoned except when I go around back there is a $35,000 car outside and someone actually lives in that $50 house! ROFL
