March 5th, 2008

Shot this with my Canon 1DS at 28mm. I actually used a polarizing filter to richen the blue sky and green grass.

I love the way the horizon and shadow moves my eyes through the shot.

It’s strange how I get a feeling of childhood memories when I look at the lonely swing.

    Hmmmmmmmmm

    How you do that?

    Hi MG,

Thank you. This is near my house in Agoura Hills, CA. When I get down time I drive around and just look for locations for photo shoots.

Wonderful photograph! I am studying photography myself. What is your overall intended message with this photo? Is it about childhood, nature, or something more?

Hi Gaby. Good question. You know I have always loved tree swings. I think it’s because it reminds me of children and how they appreciate the simple things in life. I didn’t shoot this with an intended message, however, I will say that I shot it because of what I said in the previous sentence. It’s also just a very beautiful scene. Thank you Gaby.
