An example of celebrity photography this is Samantha Harris the host of Dancing With the Stars. Shot this at BelleVarado studios. Working with celebrities can be fun and also a challenge. They are not models and the photographer must remember that. Celebrities are not always comfortable in front of a still camera. So it is the celebrity photographer’s job to help them feel confident and calm.

Great Shot…
I hope this isn’t a double post.
Are you able to control the amount of retouching that is done to an image once you submit it to a client or is it out of your hands?
What I fear is creating a beautiful image and have it retouched to the point of degrading the beauty.

Not a double post.
The photographer doesn’t have control over how much post is done UNLESS he does the post himself. I don’t concern myself with what happens to the shot after I submit it. I got paid and that’s all that really matters. Now if it was an editorial that I submitted I would ONLY submit retouched images. In that case I would have 3 shots of each look retouched and submit all those shots. If the magazine didn’t like any of those then tough shit. I don’t submit 300 images and let the magazine decide. lol
