Photographing sunset through trees

November 1st, 2007

Commercial landscape photography photographed using my Rolleiflex film camera. Shot in Frazier Park California. I used 120 size film for a commercial project.

    Beautify work…

What influences your decision to use film over digital?

I have a Mamiya 645d and have thought about using my digital back as a means of previewing my shot. I have a Polaroid back but I think the DSLR would be a less expensive option over a digital back.

Is this something you do as well?

Well if it is a job I am shooting, then the client tells me whether they want film or digital. It is VERY rare that clients ask for film anymore. When I shoot for personal work I like to shoot film sometimes because the high I get from looking at a medium format chrome is friggin amazing. A beautiful landscape shot on a nice sized chrome is awesome !
