LVLX AD IN DC MAGAZINE
Shot this is Palm Springs. Horrible heat — 115 F and major wind, we did not use fans. It was blowing so hard that at times it was difficult to take a step forward.

Hi,
Thank you so much for such an informative blog! I really enjoy your work.
Just a question. How did you light your model in this photograph. I’m trying to learn as much as possible about this kind of photography and so far only trust your blog to give me good feedback.
Thanks again for an amazing blog!

Hi Fern,
Thank you very much for the kind words. As with the majority of my work I keep my lighting simple. I used one strobe with a magnum reflector attached. It was place off camera right about 10 feet from the model. And that really is all there was to it. For this shoot I used a Mamiya 645 with a 20 megapixel back.

Yes that would work. It all depends on the look you are going for as a photographer.
