Heavens Rays
September 11th, 2007This was shot at Leo Carrillo beach in Southern California. The secret to getting this shot is HUMIDITY ! I shot this with 35mm Fuji Velvia on a Canon AE 1
I set my camera on a tripod and used a very slow shutter speed, I don’t remember as it was much too long ago to remember. I could have and should have used a split neutral density filter but I didn’t have one.

Hi Jason,
Just a wild guest,
Does the humidity allow for more reflexion of the rays of light, thus creating a more colorful shot?
Thanks,
Monroe

I’ll call you by your first name Monroe lol. I apologize for addressing you as MoJo earlier.
You know, I don’t know that answer to your question. What I DO know is that EVERY SINGLE TIME we have humidity, the clouds form a similar pattern thus resulting in AMAZING sunsets.
Now I am curious as to why this happens.
